New Skateboard Products with Liberty Skateboard Ramps

Hey There,

It’s been a little while since my last blog entry. But there’s a good reason! I’ve been hatching a plan to improve the Liberty Skate website.

We’re excited to announce that we’re adding products! In a few weeks you can look forward to a ton of t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, helmets, pads and of course skateboards! We’ve been thinking of adding this sort of thing for quite some time now. We wanted to make sure we did it right by being able to offer everything at a competitive, affordable price. We wanted to make sure we would be able to get the products to you quickly – if you’re like me, once you decide you want something, you want it right away. But most importantly, we wanted to make sure we could offer popular, stylish brands for youth, women and men alike.

You can look forward to brands such as Element, Plan B, Birdhouse and Pro Tec, just to name a few. We have a great relationship with our supplier, so you can rest assured that we’ll be constantly updating the different lines, adding brands, adding products etc.

We track the website traffic, and it’s clear to us that in addition to our core products (grind boxes, quarter pipes and half pipes) you all really enjoy checking out the blog, our photographs and our videos. We really hope you love the new section as well.

Stay tuned. It’s still under construction, but the new section of the site will be up really soon! I promise!

As always, we welcome any and all feedback. Please email us at info@libertyskate.com

Thanks everyone!

New To Liberty Skate

Hey Folks,

This winter weather needs to stop. It was nice around the holidays, but now it’s becoming excessive. Every week more and more snow and ice coats the ground, and outdoor skateboard season seems like it will never arrive.

But the good news is the Groundhog did not see his shadow, so spring is near.

But the real reason for this post is to announce a new feature on the Liberty Skate site. We have added in Live Chat. We aren’t the first retail website out there to add this feature. We’ve heard so many success stories out there that we thought we’d give it a try. It’s been active now for a couple days, and so far it’s been a fascinating experience. We hope it continues to work out well.

We’ve always been available to answer questions by email or telephone, but we’re finding that sometimes customers have a very quick question that they think of while shopping on our site. Give it a try and be sure to tell your friends about it too!

New Promotion

Hey Folks,

The weather up here in PA and the rest of the northeast has been pretty brutal so far. I thought we paid our dues last year with all that snow, but apparently not!

I thought that perhaps the purchase of a new skate ramp or grind box would warm you up, so I’ve decided to offer a promotional coupon to all you loyal blog readers.

At checkout, please enter code: skateinwinter

This coupon is good for 12% off your purchase. I’ll keep it active for about 1 week.

For those of you in the warm weather – us northern folk are really jealous.

Irregardless of the weather, we’ve still been fortunate in that the orders keep rolling in. If you’re reading this blog and you are one of our existing customers – thank you. For those of you thinking about taking the plunge and purchasing a Liberty Skate product, please be in touch. We’re happy to help however we can.

Considering some additions to Liberty Skate

Hey Folks,

For those of you in the Northern states, I hope you’re not too inundated with snow. As far as I’m concerned, the spring time can’t get here fast enough.

We’re dedicated to continuing to improve Liberty Skate, and to continuing to offer you, our customers, the best possible website, services and products possible. As you know, our product offering is currently limited to just 8 items (ramps and grind boxes of various sizes). Of course, we want to stay within the realm of the skateboard industry. For the spring we’d like to be able to offer you additional products that can be used in conjunction with or independent from our current product mix.

You’ve all been extremely helpful in the past when I’ve asked for some feedback, so i thought I’d open it up to you once again. Are there any products you wish Liberty Skate offered that we don’t offer now?

We really do read all your feedback, and we take every suggestion seriously.

The best way to submit your suggestions and/or feedback is email: info@libertyskate.com

Thanks so much!

New Half Pipe Pricing: 8′ HP $1,719. 16′ HP ...

Hey Folks,

I hope everyone had a great new year.

To kick off 2011, we decided to lower the prices on our half pipes! The 8′ half pipe is now $1,719 and the 16′ half pipe is $3,199!

This is our way of saying thank you for a great 2010.

Don’t worry – the product itself has not changed. Everything is still professionally cut and pre-drilled, all the hardware comes pre-bagged, shipping is still free, no sales-tax on deliveries outside of Pennsylvania and we’re still using the highest quality lumber we can find!

We’re dedicated to offering you the best product possible at competitive prices. If you have any questions about the product, ordering process, shipping details, etc by all means please be in touch. info@libertyskate.com or call at 888-492-5283

I hope to hear from you soon.

Liberty Skate : Open Year Round

Hi Folks,

After a short stint away from the office for the Christmas holiday, we have returned and are in full gear. We stay open year round. Some skateboard shops in this region (snow region) are only open during the warm months and open their doors for a couple weeks for the holiday rush. If we were a regional company that may make sense for us as well. But we are not. We ship Liberty Skate all over, and have the capabilities to ship pretty much anywhere in the world. So just because it’s snowing outside our window, it doesn’t mean that it’s snowing everywhere else. It’s like a math equation – if it’s nice out, people want to skate. It stays nice in certain parts of the world year-round. Liberty Skate can ship anywhere. Liberty Skate stays open.

But just because you live in snow country, it doesn’t mean you should be left out. This holiday season I heard from a number of different customers that they had set up their Liberty Skate gear in their garage or basement. With a couple of our quarter pipes set up in the basement, you could have a mock-skate-park to keep your skating jones in check until it gets warm again. Then, once it does warm up, prop the quarter pipe up on it’s wheels and move it outdoors. Even if you have to navigate up a flight of stairs to get out of your basement it’s not that bad – sure our larger quarter pipes are a bit heavy, but with a friend and a bit of determination you could get it up and out in no time.

Again – for those of you that have ordered already – thank you. If you have your eye on a Liberty Skate product now is as good of a time as any. Please let me know if you have any questions at all. I’m here to help.

Holiday Season

Hey Folks,

I hope this finds everyone doing well and excited for the holiday break.

I apologize for the lack of posts over the last couple weeks. We were fortunate this year that the gift of Liberty Skate was a popular choice. We’ve been very good at getting each and every order out our door within 2 or 3 business days of receiving it. We broke quite a few records internally, and we’re very excited to hit the ground running to make 2011 even better.

For those of you that have ordered (or will be receiving Liberty Skate product for Christmas) – thank you. We really do hope you all enjoy.

Of course, I wouldn’t be doing my job if I left this out – if you find that you didn’t get exactly what you wanted this holiday season, and are looking to treat yourself, I hope you choose Liberty. Our business stays open year round.

We’re really fortunate to have such a loyal following. Keep on sending along all the great photos, video and general feedback. It always makes my day.

For my birthday I got a humidifier and a de-humidifier. I put them in the same room and let them fight it out.

Crunch Time

Hey Folks,

I hope everyone is doing well during this very hectic time of year. Needless to say, things here at our shop have been busy.

But fear not – we’ve been really efficient, and every order has been shipping out in a matter of just a couple business days.

I wanted to write today to let you know that it’s not too late to get your orders in. The sooner you order, the more likely it is that you’ll have it in time for Christmas.

If you have any questions about our products, the ordering process, etc by all means, please be in touch.

I apologize for the short post today, but duty calls.

I put instant coffee in a microwave oven and I almost went back in time.

Early December Updates

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for being missing in action these last few days. As I’m sure you can all appreciate, this is a very busy time of year for us. Some of our products are expensive, and the holiday season is the time of year when a lot of families like to indulge their children and relatives with the expensive gifts they’ve had their eyes on. That certainly was the way it worked in my house growing up.

So far the holiday season has been pretty good to Liberty Skate. Thank goodness we put all that effort into streamlining our ordering and processing procedures a few months back- otherwise we may have drown in the minutiae.

There seems to be a fairly steady stream of orders coming in. If you’re looking to purchase this as a gift in time for Christmas, it’s really important that you get those orders in soon. Don’t get me wrong, as the 25th approaches we’re all going to be working as diligently as possible to get every single order on the truck for delivery, but we’re only human and we can only make our freight company and other carriers move so quick.

We haven’t neglected the website, either. We’re still adding a ton of new content, fixing small bugs, changing things here and there. A website is an organic thing, and we’re doing our best to pay close attention to it on a daily basis to make sure it can prosper.

One section of the website you may find interesting is the Video section. We’ve been collecting a plethora of videos to appeal to a wide range of interests. Video content includes things like tips on tricks, information on how to assemble a Liberty Skate ramp, general information on Liberty Skate, as well as an array of skateboarders that we’ve taken a shine to. If you have some time give it a look. Some of the videos are pretty cool. https://www.libertyskate.com/skateboard-ramps/skateboard-videos/

If you have any questions about any Liberty Skate product, please, by all means, be in touch. We’re happy to help you out however we can.

We’re also interested in any general feedback you may have, as well as any photo or video content you may wish to share.

Gifts Cards Coming Soon!

Hey All,

This week marks the beginning of the busy holiday season. I can’t speak for all of you, but I know that my weeks become extremely busy between Thanksgiving and New Years. There’s just so much to do. Family get togethers, shopping, travel, work, co-worker and supplier vacations, and of course even more shopping – the whole season can be overwhelming at times.

We’ve been thinking about ways to make sure Liberty Skate is in the minds of every gift giver and receiver this holiday season. One thing we thought of adding was gift cards. This way, even if there is snow on the ground where you live during holiday season, you, a friend, or relative can give or receive the gift of a Liberty Skate ramp. Whenever you’re ready to start assembling your ramp, simply get in touch with us, and it’ll be on it’s way.

This should launch fairly soon.

We have a few more ideas in mind for the holiday season, so please stay tuned. I need to get back to work to wrap up a bunch of action items before people start leaving for Thanksgiving.

I saw a sign: “Rest Area 25 Miles”. That’s pretty big. Some people must be really tired,
